Description

After years in law enforcement, I had the privilege to work frequently with K-9 officers and their police dog counterparts.  While watching the police dogs works, I noticed something and that is the only thing that dog wants to do is WORK.  It does not care about what car it drives, who its boss is, what color collar it wears, the rain, snow, heat or cold…just doing work.  The police dog treats its job just like a game and is happy to endure all that it does for nothing more than the reward of a tennis ball.  For years, I have kept a tennis ball on the shelf in my locker as a constant remind to not worry about the things that don’t matter and just come to work and WORK…hence the phrase, “work for the tennis ball”.
